Описание к видео MLB umpire Brian Knight returns to hometown of Helena to hand out award

HELENA- Capital High graduate and current Major League Baseball umpire Brian Knight came back to Helena on Wednesday for the Helena Senators annual Jim Knight Night.

Jim was Brians father and was an umpire for 32 years. Jim passed away in 2021 after a battle with cancer.
Senators second baseman Brayden Beatty was given the Jim Knight Memorial award for "demonstrating integrity, sportsmanship, character and Jim's passion for the game of baseball."

Brian has been an MLB umpire since 2001 and recently was the home plate umpire for game five of the 2023 World Series. He has also worked the 2012 All-Star game and three Division Playoff Series.
