Rodong Sinmun has admitted that Kim Jong Il is not in the best of health.

The General's health was mentioned in an editorial in the Workers' Party of Korea newspaper, the Rodong Sinmun found on the 2nd page, on Sunday, 12th of April 2009.

It says that when Kim Jong Il visited a factory, the managers were anguished to see their leader looking so thin that they could hardly utter a word.

It also reports that people sobbed when Kim left there and the tears flowed nonstop.

Some recently published photos have shown Kim Jong Il's sudden loss of weight.

The female journalist who wrote the editorial often writes on sensitive issues about the leadership.

The DPRK leadership apparently wants to give the impression that Kim Jong Il is doing his best to lead the country, despite his health condition.
