Star Wars: The High Republic has arrived and with it the much anticipated novel-Light of the Jedi from Charles Soule! The long wait is finally over and Star Wars fans can now begin to dive head first into the brand new era of the Star Wars galaxy-The High Republic. Ushering in this new era of the Star Wars Galaxy, Star Wars fans can now experience The High Republic in Charles Soule's Light of the Jedi, Claudia Gray's Into the Dark, Justina Ireland's A Test of Courage, and Cavan Scott's Star Wars: The High Republic comic series.

With this new era in the Star Wars timeline, Star Wars fans get to explore the Star Wars galaxy, learn about the Republic expansion into the Outer Rim Territories, the Jedi during their zenith, and the evil group of marauders known as The Nihil during the days of the High Republic. The Nihil terrorized citizens of the Galactic frontier, taking whatever they wanted and killing those that stood in their way. The Nihil believed in nothing besides doing whatever pleased, living their lives who they chose, and pillaging what they could to earn credits. Because of this, The Nihil quickly found themselves within the crosshairs of the Republic and the Jedi Order. Now that Star Wars fans get an opportunity to delve into the High Republic, we get to learn about The Nihil, see how The Nihil operate and behave, and get a glimpse at what made The Nihil such a unique threat during the days of The High Republic. As we move deeper into the phases of The High Republic, I imagine we'll continue to learn more about The Nihil and their motivations. Undoubtedly, The Nihil are one aspect of Star Wars: The High Republic that are extremely interesting and intriguing.
