The BEE MINDFUL® program was developed at Cohen Children's Medical Center to improve the care provided to patients with neurodiversity, such as autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit disorder, sensory processing disorders, and anxiety while in the medical setting. After its successful implementation throughout Northwell Health facilities, the program has been adopted by other hospitals, organizations like Queens County Farm, and even event spaces like UBS Arena and Jones Beach Theater. The co-founders of BEE Mindful, Sharon Goodman and Jennifer Simonetti, join Ch. 11's Mr. G at Cohen Children's Medical Center to share their story.
