Grieving families in Kathmandu held funerals on Friday for victims of the recent violent protests in Nepal. The bodies of protesters and security personnel were cremated at the Pashupatinath temple following Hindu rituals. At least 34 people were killed during the unrest earlier this week, which led to the collapse of the government. The protests, initially triggered by a brief social media ban, escalated due to widespread public dissatisfaction. Calm was restored after the military stepped in. Talks are underway to appoint a new interim leader.
