Next to Chotila is the history of Mahamaya Hinglaj Pratalshakti Peethdham where Mahatma Mayagiriji performed penance 450 years ago. Mahatma Mayagiriji went to Hinglaj Parsava (pilgrimage to Hinglaj) in 1630 AD. Where he engrossed himself in worship and gave up food and water and performed rigorous sadhana of Mataji while standing on one leg. Pleased with this, Hinglaj appeared before Mayagiriji and asked his wish. The Mahatma requested that you make your place in the immortal cave of Thanga hill and give me darshan there so that I can worship you there and accept my request. So vs. Mother Hinglaj appeared in Thanga Dungar on Diwali of 1630.

The temple remains open on Navratri but the offerings remain closed.

The temple will remain open for devotees to visit during Navratri. There will be Mataji Aarti every day at 7 am and 7 pm. Whereas every year during Navratri, arrangements for food prasad are made along with performing three yagyas of Mataji, but currently due to the Corona epidemic, the arrangements for yagya and food prasad have been stopped.

Hinglaj Mataji is seated in Amar Cave in Thanga area of Chotila Panthak. According to folklore, when Mahatma Mayagiriji went on a pilgrimage to Balochistan, Mataji was pleased by his penance. Therefore Mahatmaji appeared on the day of Devdiwali when Mahatmaji invited Mataji to sit in the Thanga area. The main residence of Hinglaj Mataji is on Thangna Mountain in the inaccessible mountains of Baluchistan, the Makran region of present-day Pakistan.

It is believed that the trident kept near him also ignites automatically. This temple is located in Kalasar village, 15 km from Chotila.
