"The flying is going fantastic. It is a nice break - I think I'll regret saying that tomorrow when I get back and the old jet lag kicks in. Yeah the flying course is so intense. Only the people who've done it or who are on the flying course will be able to justify saying that it is that intense. It surprised me and there's times when I thought, you know, I'm really not cut out for this, mentally. I hope I've got the physical skill to fly a helicopter. But mentally, the exams and everything. I mean, I gave up school, as everyone does at that age, and thought maths that's gone now. But I've been throwing myself back in the deep end."

"I don't think anyone could really describe it. It's the same for everybody, American, British, any country that is out in Afghanistan at the moment. The guys out there will try and explain to loved ones and other people what it's like, but unless you're actually out there with the boys with the guys you can't describe it."
(Reporter: Does it change you?)
"I think it changed every single person who comes back to be honest with you. It is very different for single guys and girls who go out there. It's a completely different story if you've got loved ones and children back home. I think it's a very, very different story but as I said when everybody is out there, you're all brothers no matter what nation you're from and it is just the most amazing feeling, and it does it changes you."

PRINCE HARRY TALKS ABOUT WAR
Britain's Prince Harry sometimes doubted his ability to become a pilot, thinking he was not cut out for the job, he said in an interview released to Britain's Press Association news agency.
The 24-year old prince is training to be a pilot with the Army Air Corps. But he said he found some of the courses tough.
"There's times when I thought, you know, I'm really not cut out for this, mentally. I hope I've got the physical skills to fly a helicopter," he said. "But mentally, there are the exams and everything."
Harry also spoke about his time in Afghanistan.
"When everybody is out there, you're all brothers no matter what nation you're from and it is just the most amazing feeling, and it does it changes you."
Harry spent ten weeks serving in Helmand Province in late 2007 and early 2008.
Harry gave the interview in New York at the end of his first official visit to the United States where he played in a charity polo game and paid a visit to the site of the September 11 attacks.
He said the trip to New York was a nice break from training.
Harry, the son of Prince Charles and Princess Diana, is third in line to the British throne, after his father and his older brother, William.
