Dehancer Film Emulation: Is It a Gimmick?

The folks over at Dehancer reached out to me and asked me to take a look at their plugin to share my opinion of them with you all.

Dehancer is touted as an excellent film emulation plugin for major editing suites, but does it really work as well as they claim or is it just a gimmick claiming to give you the "cinematic" look?
