The year was 1968. Just four months after Martin Luther King JR. had been assassinated, James Brown penned an anthem that would radically equip athletes, protestors, and every day folks commonly referred to as Negroes with a new mantra...SAY IT LOUD: I’M BLACK AND IM PROUD.
Through our recommitment to the struggle for justice, through our art, our dance, and our music, with our buying power, with our physical and mental health, with our wealth generation, with our demanding of new laws and legislation, when we look at each other and when we look at ourselves in the mirror...SAY IT LOUDER than ever before.
