An interest in wildlife like black swans, water dragons, turtles, freshwater fish and marine reef aquariums is a plus.

A housemate would have exclusive use of all the facilities in the main house for many weeks of the year when I am on shark diving adventures in Australia and overseas.

Airbnb guests have a priority use of outside facilities like the dining space and pool. A ten year history has delivered no conflicts of interest between house sitters/housemates and the mostly long stay/international/Australian Airbnb guests.

My use of the share kitchen is minimal because my many talents and interests are not inclusive of cooking. I eat 1 meal a day around sunset and graze until midnight upstairs.

If my wife or friends are staying overnight. They would be with me in the roomy spaces that include a large walk in robe, lounge, office, bedroom, bathroom and entry via stairs and the lift being installed 17-21 November 2025.

My frequent travel requires a confident, reliable housemate who can welcome Airbnb guests, do basic maintenance like removing windfalls, keeping the pool robot on the job with filter cleans and charging. Most importantly, knowing when something has gone wrong with one or more of the aquariums and contacting those with the experience and knowledge to fix things.

Every international trip is associated with something going wrong/dying, being damaged. The right housemate made can accept that they cannot do everything that I do, but they do what they can in my absence.

It is for these reasons that the facilities are offered well below market rate so close to Kawana ShoppingWorld, and that it could take a while to find the right person for a minimum of 12 months in residence.

Single women are preferred. No couple. Men who are neat, tidy and love cooking for others would be considered.
