Why would you want to join Hypixel in 2024? Well, it is the biggest Minecraft server around, and it has tons of amazing gamemodes and things for you to try. From Hypixel Skyblock and SkyWars to Bedwars and more, there is a ton of diverse and different gamemodes to play on Hypixel.

To join Hypixel, get started by opening Minecraft Java Edition. Sadly, you cannot join Hypixel on Minecraft Bedrock Edition, so you need to be using Minecraft Java Edition on PC in order to play Hypixel. As for as the Minecraft version goes, Hypixel can be joined with the most recent version of Minecraft, but it does support other versions of Minecraft as well.

From the Minecraft main menu, click on “Multiplayer”. Then, confirm you want to play multiplayer if you are prompted by clicking “Proceed”. Next, select the “Add Server” button at the bottom of the multiplayer screen. You can name the server anything you want, but we suggest naming it “Hypixel” so it is easy to identify.

For the server address also known as the IP address, you will need to enter the Hypixel IP address. This is “mc.hypixel.net”. Then, click “Done”.

After a few seconds, the Hypixel server will light up showing a bit of information about the server as well as the amount of players that are online. To join Hypixel just double-click on it in the multiplayer screen.

When you first join Hypixel, you may have some things appear. Click through those and left right-click on the Compass in your inventory. Here, you will be able to see all of the gamemodes you can play on Hypixel. Just click on one to join it.

In some cases after selecting a gamemode, you will need to right-click on an NPC to join a queue or start playing a specific game. That is normal, but it can be a bit difficult to get when you first join Hypixel.
