This enables organizations to plan and monitor development in a simple and agile manner, especially when adopting frameworks like Kanban or Scrum. Having a measurement-based historical database populated with trustworthy data is crucial for effective planning and monitoring of software development in organizations striving for software development maturity.

Thiago Silva holds a Masters degree in Innovation and Digital Transformation in Business. He is pursing a postgraduate degree in AI Engineering. He has over 10 years experience connecting IT and business through his expertise in emerging technologies such as AI, Cloud, Quantum Computing. As an IFPUG Committee member, he contributes to global software measurement initiatives.

Dr. Carlos Simões has over 30 years of experience in IT and holds a Ph.D. from UNIRIO, Brazil, where his thesis on IT workforce outsourcing won national recognition. He also holds a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering from COPPE/UFRJ. Carlos is a consultant in PMO, agile methods, metrics, and project management for leading Brazilian companies.
