ZLATAN IBRAHIMOVIC has revealed he suffered an embarrassing toilet accident – admitting he “s*** himself” in his determination to regain fitness after injury.

The Sweden legend spent two seasons with Manchester United, helping the Red Devils win the Europa League, Carabao Cup Cup and Community Shield before leaving in 2018.

Ibrahimovic has won a host of trophies during star-studded spells with Ajax, Juventus, Inter, Barcelona, AC Milan and LA Galaxy.

The Malmo-born frontman, 44, won 122 Swedish caps and scored 62 goals. He hung up his boots in 2023 after a second spell with Milan.

Ibrahimovic has now told Balkan broadcaster Arena Sport about an unpleasant incident that took place as he battled back from a double injury.

He recalled: “I’m going to tell you something now that nobody knows, and it’s a little awkward.

“When I came back after a knee injury, after breaking both of them, I was running on a treadmill.

“The workout was six fast intervals, two minutes each, with just three seconds of rest. That was the pace.

“I was almost at the very end when I suddenly felt the urge to go to the toilet.

“But I didn’t go to the toilet. While I was running, I literally s*** myself.

“But I kept running, because in my head I had to finish first, and then go.

“But that’s who I am. I always said, ‘If I cheat, I cheat myself, not you’.”

Ibrahimovic played on for five more years after leaving United, finishing his career at AC Milan.

Now his son, Maximilian, is carrying on the iconic name.

The youngster, 19, is still on the books at Milan but just signed on loan for another of his dad’s former clubs, Ajax.
