Описание к видео THEY SAID IT COULDN'T BE SAVED | THE $50,000 LOCOMOTIVE REBUILD

On May 23, 1887, CPR Engine 374 pulled the first transcontinental passenger train into Vancouver, unifying Canada coast to coast. By 1945, this national treasure was retired and left to rust for 38 years at Kitsilano Beach Park. Kids climbed on it. Vandals painted it. Salt air corroded it. Everyone thought it was finished. Then in 1981, railway enthusiasts launched an impossible mission: restore this wreck in time for Expo 86. This is the story of how volunteers, $400,000 in donations, and pure determination turned a rust bucket into an icon.
