It all starts with Chaos. That is to say, the new SoundMonster album, which sees the light of day on 19th October 2012, certainly does. Having danced with a unicorn and an alien on the Supersound single, a sheep now transports us to a sympathetic, ethereal world of displaced realism.
The second single, Chaos, from the Winner Of The Year album, provides the perfect soundtrack for it. Stunning pop guitar melodies that resound in our ears, a beat that shakes our bodies and lyrics which catapult us to the center of the three SoundMonsters' Cosmos. Everything seems abnormally normal; impossibly possible; childishly grown up. Slightly displaced, but not too much. Just enough to grab the attention of jaded music lovers who suddenly discover that even in 2012 "Pop" can be given a fresh new look.
Chaos reduces the SoundMonster's world musically and lyrically to a common denominator and is therefore probably the most representative song on Winner Of The Year. It takes us on an adventurous trip which leaves us with the feeling that we should never allow the Chaos around us to triumph and never forget the child within us.
And what about the sheep? The delightful Chaos music video explains everything. Whether it will make us any smarter remains to be seen, but that's not really the point. The point being that we should search for our own Inner Child.
With that in mind: So many colours on our minds, It's our best time...

Alles beginnt mit Chaos. Zumindest das neue Album der SoundMonsters, welches am 19. Oktober 2012. das Licht der Welt erblicken wird. Nachdem wir zur ersten Single Supersound gemeinsam mit einem Einhorn und einem Alien getanzt haben, nimmt uns nun das Schaf mit, in seine sympathisch entrückte Welt aus verschobenem Realismus.
Die zweite Single aus dem Album Winner Of The Year namens Chaos bietet dafür den perfekten Soundtrack. Wunderschön poppige Gitarren-Melodien, die sich sofort in unseren Gehörgängen festsetzen, ein Beat, der einem den Körper aufschütteln möchte und Lyrics, welche uns mitten in die Kosmos der drei SoundMonsters katapultieren. Alles scheint normal unnormal; möglich unmöglich; kindlich erwachsen. Irgendwie verschoben, aber nicht zu sehr. Jedoch genau soviel, dass selbst die abgebrühten Musikkenner-Ohren aufhorchen müssen und feststellen, dass man „Pop", selbst im Jahr 2012, noch immer in ein neues Gewand stecken kann.
Musikalisch und textlich bringt Chaos die Welt der SoundMonsters auf einen gemeinsamen Nenner und ist damit wohl der repräsentativste Song auf Winner Of The Year. Er nimmt uns mit auf einen abenteuerlichen Ausflug welcher uns am Schluss mit dem Gefühl entlässt, das Chaos um uns herum niemals siegen lassen zu dürfen und das Kind in uns nicht zu vergessen.
Und was hat es nun mit diesem Schaf auf sich? Das wunderschöne Musikvideo zu Chaos leistet Aufklärungsarbeit. Ob man danach viel schlauer ist, sei dahin gestellt, aber darum geht es auch gar nicht. Viel eher sollte man nun beginnen, nach seinem eigenen, inneren Kind, zu suchen.
In diesem Sinne: So many colours on our minds, It's our best time...
