Test and repair the resistance motor in your fixed bike or elliptical

Описание к видео Test and repair the resistance motor in your fixed bike or elliptical

Before reparing it, we are going to test the 2 things that can go wrong:
1) The motor itself or the gears
2) The potentiometer (which allows the machine to know the level).

In this case the motor was fine, and the error was the potentiometer.
When measuring the external pins i was getting a resistance of 0 ohms, instead of 5k ohms (the max).
Because of this for the elliptical we were always on level 0 and was doing nothing.

This piece is really cheap (25 cents), you can order the piece from aliexpress and get it in a week.
Once you replace the potentiometer, you need to weld the 3 cables (red/white/black in my case) in the same pins and that's it.
The whole fix in the motor will take you around 5-10 minutes.

This motor came from a nordictrack elliptical, but the same fix applies to any brand (Sole, Bowflex, Proform, Horizon, Cubii, Peloton, Sunny, Octane, Schwinn).
