A montage of buffing trips from the middle of July to a few different places around New Jersey.

Jul. 16th: A brief visit to Piscataway with some of the regular crew on a hot afternoon. We'd start the day with K141-16 with the CSX "Chessie System" sticker unit leading a BNSF/CSX duo. After that came 20K-15 with a Tier4 leading, followed by my last catch of the CSX symbol Q439(-16) before the symbol would end up getting abolished, 33K-16 through the pouring rain and finally Q388-13.

Jul. 17th: Swinging by Bound Brook before heading back home for the weekend, I'd end up finding myself in the middle of an overnight parade of freights. We'd start with Q389-16 slowly leaving the station, followed by a slow 25R-16 and 23Z-16. Then came one on the Port Reading Secondary in the form of 65K-16 with NS/UP/UP power. Back over on the station platform I'd conclude the morning with 62V-15 and a meet between a huge 19G-16 (who'd make an unexpected stop in front of the station) and another big Q300-14.

Jul. 19th: A couple NJ Transit trains downtown at Morris Plains. First would be 0877 with Geep #4210 as the power. Later in the evening we'd catch two more, being 0643 and 0880 with Geep #4210 returning back east towards the city.

Jul. 22nd: Would make a visit down the shore with Kevin, Sam, my sister and Grandma for the day. While the ladies stayed back down at the Ocean City boardwalk shopping, Jacob would pick Kevin & I up and we'd venture over for Jacob to give us the grand tour of his Cape May Seashore Lines in Tuckahoe. No videos, but a bunch of pictures of some of the various equipment hanging around, including an old Blue Comet car, old PRR coach cars, some URHS cars and some neat engines.

Jul. 23rd: One quick train on an excessively hot afternoon would be Q410-21 with CSX/CSX/SCRF (South Carolina Central Railroad) power. Much later that night after watching the Middlesex fireworks show, Joe, his friend, Sam and I would swing by Bound Brook to show Joe's friend what watching trains was all about. While there with them we'd see Q418-23 ... and right after Joe and his friend left Sam and I would catch 25V-23 with NS/NS/CP/NS power.

Jul. 27th: On a late Wednesday night, Kevin & I would meet up at Denville to await an NJ Transit tie train heading from the MMC to Port Jervis and back. While waiting we'd catch trains 6671 on the M&E, 1087 on the Boonton-Montclair Line, 0682 on the M&E, 6675 on the M&E, 1061 on the Boonton-Montclair Line, 6677 on the M&E and finally 0684 on the M&E.

Jul. 28th: Last two from the carryover of Wednesday into Thursday, we'd catch NJ Transit train 6679 on the M&E followed by the X4109 tie train, which featured 2 "Ex. CNJ" GP40PH-2's pulling 13 tie gondolas.
