On the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda, who achieved a unique place as the father of the land in the glorious and divine history of India and fought a fierce battle against the oppression of the British, this year is being celebrated as 'Tribal Pride Year' across India. The country's successful Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi has made the entire tribal community proud by starting the tradition of celebrating it as 'Tribal Pride Day'.

Today, a district level program was organized by the district administration at Surya Eklavya Sainik School in Kheranch on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Mundaji under the chairmanship of the Minister of State for Tribal Development Department and Food and Civil Supplies Department, Shri P. C. Baranda and in the inspiring presence of MP Shri Shobhanaben Baraiya.

In today's program, approval orders were given to the beneficiaries of the Housing Assistance Scheme, Goat Breeding Scheme, Mandap Scheme. Along with this, the tribal sportsmen and brilliant students of the district were honored with citations. People also watched the live broadcast of Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi from Narmada.

Addressing today's program, MP Shobhanaben Baraiya said that the honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi is continuously working for the development of the last person, bringing the people in the last row to the first row. Today we have gathered today to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda. The 150 thoughts of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, who lost his life at the age of just 25, are still as ideal today. His thoughts on education, health and quitting bad habits still show us the way. Bhagwan Birsa Munda fought against the British at that time and died during that fight. His life is becoming an inspiration for people of all tribal communities. Today, the government is trying to lead even the smallest tribal person to a better life. In his address, he also recalled the atrocities committed by the British on the tribal people. Today, we are leading in all fields like education, roads, health.

District Collector Shri Prashasti Pareek, District Panchayat President Shri Priyankaben Damor, Modasa MLA Shri Bhikhusinh Parmar, District Development Officer Shri Dipesh Kedia, District Superintendent of Police Shri Manoharsinh Jadeja, District Rural Development Agency Director Shri Rajesh Kuchara and other officials and office bearers of the district and taluka were present in today's program.
