*Villager Soldier 2 V2 Faction Warfare Update* ⚔️🎉
**New Features**:
Added new upgrade item: **Upgrade Kit**, crafted from enchanted emerald and netherite, used to upgrade special faction weapons to netherite.
Added netherite versions for special faction weapons of Blue, Gray, and Red factions:
*Scrimita* has been upgraded to netherite.
*Legon Sword* has been upgraded to netherite.
*Axe of Berserker* has been upgraded to netherite.
New buff effect activation mechanic for weapons:
With this update, weapons with buff effects like spears, pikes, boss weapons, and special weapons now use the "use" mechanic to activate the effect. Each weapon has a different use time: some 1 second, others 0.5 seconds. Players need to hold the left mouse button (on PC) or press and hold on the screen to receive the effect. Releasing midway will cause a long cooldown ⏳, so keep that in mind. During the hold time, players’ movement speed will be reduced depending on the weapon.
Note: Some boss weapons retain their original running effect or mechanic.
⚠️ Important: Some scripting issues may cause upgrade items to be consumed when the upgrade fails. Please be cautious when using upgrade items to avoid losing them (this is due to a script error that affects all upgrade items, and fixing it would take time and could introduce bugs, so it's left as is for now). However, the *Level Scroll* and *Captain Scroll* issues have been fixed. ✅
Direct vs Indirect Mechanic: Here's an explanation:
Indirect: This mechanic allows you to use items without targeting, such as upgrading soldiers. You need to be near them, and the closest eligible soldier will be upgraded.
Direct: This requires you to right-click or hold on the target entity to use the item directly on it.
Why am I explaining this? You'll understand this in the next section. 😉
Captain Scroll: This item now has two mechanics:
Indirect usage: Can be used on League faction soldiers (e.g., League Swordsmen) to upgrade them to Mounted Captain🐴.
Direct usage: Can be used on other faction soldiers to make them captains.
For factions outside of the League, here's the **Captain Mechanic**:
Normal Captain: Certain units deserving of captain statuses, like the Blue faction’s camel riders, the Red faction’s cavalry, and the Gray faction’s long-axe soldiers, will gain a flag on their back and the ability to rally troops for common targets when directly upgraded with the Captain Scroll. 🏳️
Special Captain: Champion units of factions. In this update, champions no longer automatically summon soldiers upon appearing. You must use the Captain Scroll directly to give them a flag and the ability to summon soldiers for common targets. This change is to reduce lag from spamming troops. 🌟
Added a common rally horn for each faction. 📯
Adjustments:
Adjusted the rifle's power: 100% accuracy on players, 90% on bosses. Reloading now reduces movement speed, weapon design adjusted, and slight damage increase. 🔫
Fixed the sound effects for guns. 🔊
Faction Book will no longer disappear upon use. 📖
Changed the selling price of siege weapons. 💰
Added a shield-breaking mechanic for all axes when used against shield-wielding entities. 🛡️
Rebalanced some weapon effects for better gameplay balance ⚖️.
