MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR WEDDING MAKEUP TRIAL

If you’re you’re having your wedding day makeup done by a makeup artist, it’s likely you’ll want to do a makeup trial, to test your wedding makeup look before the day. A lot of time, effort and money goes into getting glammed up for the trial, so why not make a photoshoot day out of it! Taking photos in your makeup helps you get comfortable in your makeup, especially if you’re like me and don’t usually wear heaps of it. It also gives you an opportunity to see what it looks like on camera!

I did two makeup trials with @julie_makeup leading up to our wedding.

For my first trial, I scheduled in an engagement shoot with our wedding photographer @danny.millo. This is a great if you don’t mind your fiancé (😂 I’m finally comfortable using this word..not that we’re married) seeing your wedding makeup, as you can also practise taking couple photos together, as well as get comfortable working with your wedding day photographer!

For my second makeup trial, I scheduled in a bridal shoot with my sister and got some stunning photos of this dress I tried to fit into our wedding day but couldn’t haha! This is a great idea if you don’t want your partner to see it!

However, if you don’t want to do a photoshoot, here are a few other ideas on what else you can do to make the most of your glam!

💕 A special event - as long as you feel comfortable wearing a full face of makeup to that event ☺️
💕 Your hens party, if you are having one - I chose not to have one, but it’s definitely a great opportunity to test your makeup and see how it wears
💕 Take lots of selfies! In different angles at home to see how you like it on camera / get used to how it looks
💕 Watch a sad videos / try not to cry challenges on youtube LOL - if you’re worried it’ll run when you cry. Chances are your MUA has it covered, but at least you’ve assuaged your own anxiety #beentheredonethat 😂
