Making Floral GARLIC BRAIDS

Описание к видео Making Floral GARLIC BRAIDS

Decorated braids with yarrow and statice, with a loop finish.
You'll need 5-9 heads of a soft-neck garlic, a hefty pile of flowers suitable for drying, patience, and a 8-12" string to tie off at the end.
Cross your first two heads, wrap the third so it comes through the middle via the back. Stuff in some flowers, keeping the stems aligned with the middle garlic stalk. Fold over your preferred side to lock them in. Start layering in flowers and garlic, alternating left/right/middle. Always layer one side at a time, keeping that sides stems on the middle part of the braid so they get locked in. Finish woth a firm braid, pushing the curve as you go- you can drop any flower stems after they've been locked in with one or two braids, pull the tail of the braid to the back of the whole thing and wrap firmly with your string. Tie a square knot in the back, as tight as you can. Trim off any excess stems that are poking out, lay float to dry. Exult in garlicy goodness all winter, trimming heads from the top down so it doesnt fall apart.
