Centers are not just for the elementary school students. After working in elementary for 14 years and moving to a middle school, I decided to use the center based model. I was able to get to know my students as individual learners, as well as manage my classroom effectively. Providing differentiation, increasing engagement and allowing the students to work in partners was very benefical.
