This is the city Lalibela which is a town in the northern Ethiopia. It's known for its distinctive rock-cut churches dating from the 12th and 13th centuries, which are pilgrimage sites for Christians. You have to purchase a ticket which cost 50 USD and it’s good for two days to visit the churches. I think it’s a great idea you hire a guide as well because some of these churches their entrances are not easy to find so if you have a guide you won’t miss anything. I paid $250 including the guide the driver and the ticket, because I wanted to see a Cave church which was located an hour and a half outside the city of Lalibela and I needed a 4 x 4 Land Cruiser and a driver to take me there so total I paid $250 but if you only want to see the churches in Lalibela and not to leave the town you only pay $50 for a ticket and another $20 or $30 so for a guide.
