Trombone Lesson: How to Get a Great Sound on the Trombone

Getting a great sound on the trombone is the most important skill to have as a trombonist. In this video, I cover three main topics that can help you achieve a great trombone sound. First we look at how breathing and blowing affect your sound. I then discuss how to "stay out of your own way" mentally and physically when trying to achieve your best sound. Lastly, I talk about the role resonance plays in helping us master a more clear and open tone.
