Today me and mum set off on a cold wet morning, from Bourne End, headed for the summit of the canal. first, we head through a few locks before reaching the lovely town of Berkhamsted, one of the nicest locations on the Grand Union Canal. We then ascend out of town, slowly but surely reaching the summit of the Grand Union Canal, at Cowroast, as the weather clears up and the sun begins to come out, turning into a lovely day, perfect narrowboating weather. but it's lucky we came through today as the very next day the canal was shut...
