I’m out of practice. The longer I go without touching this game, the harder I find it to pull myself back into it. I know it’s not like starting from point “0” but I feel like I need to relearn the course.

I feel like I’m afraid to fail. If I put the time in I feel like I should get somewhere. If I don’t ever start to feel it and get a groove going, it feels like I’m wasting my time. Then that often leads to frustration and ultimately distraction. I’m sure there’s something very “zen” about how a game is challenging me this way; if anything I think it proves I should play it to challenge myself, but at the same time remember to be patience. Growth happens out of kindness and compassionate. After all: I am out of practice. Maybe we start to move in better directions when we accept where we’re really standing. Maybe the game will be more fun at least.
