In this coding tutorial, we will develop a QR Code Generator and Reader Using Python. This application in python helps us to generate the QR code and lets us access the data of the QR code.

Objectives:

The objective behind building this application is to get the QR code for enterprises and businesses to perform safe and secure transactions.

This application also allows us to read the data of the QR code.

QR code is a machine-readable code consisting of an array of black and white squares, typically used for storing URLs or other information for reading by the camera on a smartphone.


Requirements:

1. Python and all the necessary libraries installed.

2. Visual Studio Code or any other code editor in which python can be run.


Explanation of the Code:

Initially, we imported all the necessary libraries that are used to build this application, like pypng, pyqrcode, pyzbar.

Then we called the create function on QRcode, which will create the QR code in a png file.

Then we will print the data of the QR code using the decode function.

Hence we have successfully built a python application that will create a QR code and will let us read the data of the QR code. Well, the QR – which stands for “quick response” – code is basically a barcode on steroids. While the barcode holds information horizontally, the QR code does so both horizontally and vertically.
