The Kauri Family - Music Video

Written with the award winning writing duo Arthur Baysting and Peter Dasent, this gorgeous song began as the Gumtree Family with Justine Clarke. When the boys decided to bring the song "home" they asked me to help them select the NZ creatures and the clues.

Sing along with your copy of the book and then make up your own clues for the creatures in your backyard or neighbourhood. What clues would you give for a Fantail (piwakawaka) or a native frog (pepeketua) or a native earthworm (noke)?
