PETER CUSHING : MORECAMBE AND WISE : A COUPLE OF SWELLS

Peter says he's not going to let Eric and Ernie out of his sight...until he finally gets PAID! So, that leads us into a situation where Cushing has to do the shows big music number. It's full marks to Peter for carrying off the task of singing and performing the dance routine. Peter would have been one of the first to admit, neither singing nor dancing were his forte...but he does surprisingly well. The look of relief on his face, when he takes his flying bow at the end of the routine, would make anyone who sees this smile. Peter was certainly out of his comfort zone, but he obviously enjoy the routine, and manages to stay in step with Eric and Ernie, who were certainly very much pros at this type of soft shoe number. As for Peter's threat of 'not letting them out his sight, until he got paid'...he would have a long wait. Not until 1980 a whole eight years later, would he finally get his fiver!!
