Sutco – Sorting plant for lightweight packaging, Austria

Sutco RecyclingTechnik GmbH, known for its expertise in the development of innovative sorting and treatment plants, designed and realised a state-of-the-art sorting plant for lightweight packaging in the Austrian town of Enns. The client is the TRIPLAST consortium (Altstoff Recycling Austria AG (ARA), Bernegger GmbH and Der Grüne Punkt Holding GmbH & Co. KG Germany).
Up to 100,000 tonnes of lightweight packaging are sorted and processed in Enns every year.

The plant, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, delivers a high yield of recyclable materials by sorting 20 different types of waste and preparing them for reuse.

Other special features include the height of the new hall, which at 25 metres is one of the highest of its kind in Europe, and the suspension of one of the three screening drums at a height of 16 metres. This means that the system ensures an efficient material flow while minimising space requirements.
The sorting plant was realised in just one year.
