Again, I did the 52 mile route. My time was about 2 hours 34 minutes, faster than last year (although the route was very slightly shorter at just over 51 miles).

A fantastic day although I saw at least 30 bicycles with punctured tyres and one poor guy (pictured on the Mancunian Way) who'd come a cropper and fallen off. I just love the noise 100 bicycles make when you're all tearing down a hill, inches from each other, at 25-30 mph. It's brilliant.

Smiles all around. I wish the roads could be like that every day, no cars, no traffic lights, just thousands of cyclists all having a great laugh.
