As Thailand and the European Union conclude the 7th round of negotiations on the EU-Thailand free trade agreement, the Vice Chair of the EU–ASEAN Business Council and the Global Head of Public Policy at BDO, said that the 49% foreign-ownership cap under the Foreign Business Act remains an obstacle to greater international investment, adding that Thailand must swiftly streamline and modernise its complex regulatory framework.
