I had a chance recently to score a mint-condition set of Ludwig Breakbeats by Questlove, and I have to say, this little kit blew me away. For $599, there's really no better kit out there for beginners (especially if you're a young drummer). The tone of the shells is superb and paired with some dampening, you wouldn't know this is an entry-level drum set. Be sure to listen to the audio demos in the video with good headphones.
