Little BARBET Chick's Fledging was more like Falling!😁

When I visited the Barbet nesting that afernoon, one week after my last visit, there was only I chick left in the nest. Its sibling had apparently fledged on that same morning. The lonely little fellow was very restless, even as Mum & Dad continued to feed it.
Fledging came soon enough ( at 3:36) , with the chick "falling" off the overhanging nest onto a clump of foliage right under the nest. It rested there for quite a while, trying to find its footing, before finally securing a stable perch. All the while, the parents were not in sight!
This Barbet Chicks was estimated to be approximately 1 month old
