A bit more video of H2Overdrive running in the latest version of Teknoparrot. As I mentioned in my previous videos, as a massive fan of both Hydro Thunder and Hydro Thunder Hurricane, H2Overdrive is probably my most wanted arcade game crack of all time, and it's so great to finally be able to play it at home (even though the sound doesn't work yet). the sound has intermittently worked for some people, but there doesn't seem to be any particular pattern as to why it does and doesn't. Bits of the sound have worked for me and will occasionally be heard in-game.

As someone that missed out on this game in the arcade (I saw a cabinet one time out in the wild but never got a chance to give it a try) I'm pleased to say it's every bit as fun as I hoped it would be. As a 'spiritual successor' to the original Hydro Thunder, it's great to see all the little nods to the original game in here, from the very familiar looking ship designs, to some of the levels that are thematically and visually obviously inspired by the ones form the first game.

You can edit the settings.xml file in the game to unlock higher level boats. Higher level boats unlock the ability to do jumps and stunts, something I wasn't able to do in the first couple of videos I uploaded.
Look for the following in the XML file.

int name="m_uStartingBoatLevel" value="5"

and change the "5" to a "40"

Between this game, Star Wars Battle Pod, Aliens: Extermination and Chase HQ 2, that's like my 4 most wanted arcade games ever now playable at home. Amazing. About the only 3 games left now I'm vaguely interested in seeing get cracked are Terminator Salvation, Aliens Armageddon and the Raw Thrills Batman game, but all of those are way down on the list compared to H2Overdrive.
