Emerald Legacy is an enhancement hack of Emerald created by TheSmithPlays and his team, with adjustments to many things like Pokemon and the story with the goal of still making them subtle enough that the game feels like vanilla Emerald but better to play. Overall, I feel like they succeeded at this goal with a few fan favorites I tried feeling a lot better to use than in vanilla, while having a level curve that still incentivized me to go through all the locations I've gone through tons of times before (albeit in some kind of weird orders due to the level caps). I wouldn't say the game is much in terms of difficulty but definitely higher than vanilla and with much more interesting teams. Overall, pretty fun, would definitely recommend this if you want to replay something that feels like Emerald but better in basically every way. It also seems to have an enhanced postgame if you're into that but as it's based on vanilla, Emerald's postgame offerings don't really interest me, so I don't plan on playing that at the moment. (also technically this is missing a Courtney battle I think I fought her in hideout without even realizing because it's normally a grunt there lmao)
