The LAND Of Bears // Wildlife Photographer

Kamchatka's brown bear is one of the biggest bears on the planet. Kamchatka is one of the few places around the world where this wild animal is able to live freely because of the pristine environment. Most of the bears inhabit the area of Kuril Lake in Kamchatka. According to the aviation assessment, up to one thousand bears gather in this area during salmon spawning.

Very few people have filmed in Kamchatka in Eastern Russia. It is an isolated place, difficult to reach and until recently closed to film crews. The bears that live there, which are the largest in the world, survive in a stunning and surreal landscape. This film highlights Kamchatka's unique scenery, the bears' fascinating behaviour, intelligence and their ferocity.
