👉 *Two accused persons namely Avadhesh Paswan (previously involved in 01 criminal case) and Vigan Mahto (previously involved in 02 criminal cases) arrested
👉 Rs. 35000 cash and 40 ATM cards recovered

INCIDENT TEAM AND OPERATION
On 16.08.2025, the complainant stated that he had come to deposit Rs 55,000 in cash in the PNB Cash Deposit Machine, Naraina. When he was trying to deposit the money, one person offered help in depositing the money. During the process, the accused returned 7 notes of Rs 500 each, stating they were not accepted by the machine, and directed the complainant to change these notes and come again. Meanwhile, when the complainant went to the bank to exchange the notes, the other accused person joined, and both fled away with Rs 51,500. By the time the complainant returned, both the accused persons had already left.

Accordingly, a team consisting of HC Sanjay, HC Sunil and Ct Sanjay under the supervision of Inspr Dharmendra Kumar SHO Naraina and overall guidance of Sh. Indraj Kumar, ACP Maya Puri was formed to investigate the case and apprehend the criminals. During the course of investigation team checked the CCTV footage of the incident and identified two accused persons. Immediately a raid was conducted and both the accused persons namely Avadhesh Paswan and Vigan Mahto were arrested on 22.08.2025 and Rs. 35000 and 40 ATM cards were recovered from their possessions.
During interrogation, it was revealed that the accused persons would secretly note down ATM user’s passwords while they withdrew cash, then deceitfully swap their cards with fake ones. Subsequently, they would withdraw money from the unsuspecting victims' accounts.

ACCUSED PERSONS
1. Avadhesh Paswan S/o Lalji Paswan R/o Semra Belwalia PS Turkwalia Distt Motihari Bihar, Age 30 years. He has previously been involved in one criminal case.
2. Vigan Mahto S/o Rameshwar Mahto R/o Village Hardia PS Raghunathpur, Distt Motihari Bihar, Age 24 years. He has previously been involved in 02 criminal cases.

2. 40 ATM cards of different Banks
