I'm slowly but surely catching up on my TBR Spin reads! I keep saying that and it keeps not being true. But I have made some progress recently!

I read my June book in August and it was really good! I made an effort to add a lot of short story collections in this year's spin stack and this collection has been on my shelves since 2022 or before!!
As far as I know, Carman Maria Machado only writes short works. I really love the way she is able to write contained or full feeling stories in the short form.
Her Body and Other Parties is def a horror collection with themes of sex, bodies, relationships (familial and romantic), queerness and tv zeitgeist.

What short story have you enjoyed recently?

The rules for TBR Spin are simple! In Jan we pick 12 books and each month one of the two hosts will spin a wheel to help us pick what books to read from our stacks for that month. The wheel has different prompts, no prompts will be repeated, and we don't know in advance what the prompts are!
