The honeycomb cable is a very beautiful and texture-rich knitting pattern perfect for aran sweaters and hats. Despite the complicated look, it's an easy 8 row repeat that only requires you to know the knit stitch, the purl stitch and the cable stitch.

You do need a cable needle, though you can also knit it without one (https://nimble-needles.com/tutorials/...)
You are basically knitting 2x2 cable next to each other an alternating the cable crosses every 4 rows.

I recommend you to knit it on the smallest needles recommended for your yarn, so the cables look neat.
