Celebrating Cancer Survivorship & Entrepreneurship in Fashion Museums of Paris During the Olympics

As the founder of StyleEsteem, celebrating our five-year anniversary in Paris was a dream come true. This trip was not just a celebration of StyleEsteem’s success but also a deeply personal journey of reflection and inspiration. Walking through the halls of the Yves Saint Laurent and Dior Museums, the Palais Galliera, and the Museum of Decorative Arts, to name just a few, I was immersed in the rich history of fashion that has always inspired my designs. Trend spotting at the Galeries Lafayette and finding unique vintage brooches at the Paris flea market added to the excitement, fueling my creativity for future collections. Every corner of Paris during the Olympics seemed to whisper stories of resilience, elegance and fearlessness, much like the journey of every cancer survivor.

Reflecting on the past five years, from my diagnosis to starting StyleEsteem, I am filled with gratitude and determination. Chemotherapy and hair loss can be incredibly challenging, but they also opened a door to a world where fashion became a source of strength and self-expression. My trip to Paris was a reminder that beauty and inspiration can be found even in the toughest times. As we look forward to the next five years, my mission remains clear: to empower and uplift those facing hair loss with stylish and confidence-boosting headpieces, and to change the conversation between oncology healthcare professionals and cancer patients when it comes to chemotherapy hair loss. To all newly diagnosed patients, remember that your journey, though difficult, is also filled with opportunities to find beauty, strength, and a new sense of self. Paris taught me that, and I hope to share that inspiration with you through StyleEsteem.
