Verbs are words which tell us about the actions of the subject or the states of being. They are very important in framing a sentence. Learning to identify verbs and the proper tenses of each verb helps one take a great step towards speaking flawless English. Every sentence will have a word which shows what is being done or in what state something or someone is. This word is the verb.
