When Falcon Heavy lifted off, it became the most powerful operational rocket in the world by a factor of two. With the ability to lift into orbit nearly 64 metric tons (141,000 lb)---a mass greater than a 737 jetliner loaded with passengers, crew, luggage and fuel--Falcon Heavy can lift more than twice the payload of the next closest operational vehicle, the Delta IV Heavy, at one-third the cost.

Following liftoff, the two side boosters separated from the center core and returned to landing site for future reuse.

Falcon Heavy put a Tesla Roadster and its passenger, Starman, into orbit around the sun. At max velocity Starman and the Roadster will travel 11 km/s (7mi/s) and travel 400 million km (250 million mi) from Earth.

Falcon Heavy and Starman are two significant elements of SpaceX's ambitious space exploration efforts. Here's an overview of both:

1.Falcon Heavy:

1.1 Falcon Heavy is a heavy-lift launch vehicle developed and manufactured by SpaceX, an aerospace company founded by Elon Musk. It is one of the most powerful rockets in operation as of my last knowledge update in September 2021.

1.2 Falcon Heavy is designed to carry a wide range of payloads, including satellites, scientific instruments, and even crewed missions to destinations like the Moon and Mars.

1.3 It is essentially a larger version of SpaceX's Falcon 9 rocket, consisting of three Falcon 9 first-stage cores. Each of these cores is equipped with nine Merlin engines, making a total of 27 engines at the base of the rocket.

1.4 Falcon Heavy is capable of lifting heavy payloads into orbit and beyond. It has the capacity to carry up to 64 metric tons (141,000 pounds) to low Earth orbit (LEO).

1.5 One of Falcon Heavy's most famous missions involved launching a Tesla Roadster with a mannequin named "Starman" into space in February 2018 as a demonstration of the rocket's capabilities.


2.Starman:

2.1 Starman is the name given to the mannequin that was placed in the driver's seat of the Tesla Roadster that SpaceX launched into space as part of the inaugural flight of Falcon Heavy.

2.2 The Tesla Roadster, with Starman at the wheel, was used as a dummy payload for the test flight. The car was equipped with cameras to provide live video feeds of its journey through space.

2.3 Starman and the Tesla Roadster were launched into a heliocentric orbit, meaning they are in orbit around the Sun. They are not on a trajectory to return to Earth.

2.4 The inclusion of the Tesla Roadster and Starman on the Falcon Heavy test flight garnered significant public attention and was seen as a symbol of SpaceX's innovative and unconventional approach to space exploration. follow me on:
