🔹 I: Intentional in making choices to align your life with God's design and purpose.
🔹 T: Trust in God to bring His promises to pass.
🔹 H Holistic (Conclusion of a series on how faith works)
Today's Main Point: H - HOLISTIC
Core Message: True, biblical faith applies to **every area of life**, not just "spiritual" or future heavenly matters.
1. Definition of Holistic Faith:
🔹 Comes from the Greek "holos" meaning whole
🔹 The gospel addresses the *whole person*: spirit, soul (mind, emotions, will), and body.
🔹 God cares about your physical health, emotions, finances, relationships, and earthly needs just as much as your spiritual salvation.
2. Biblical Support for Holistic Faith:
🔹 1 Thessalonians 5:23: God desires your whole spirit, soul, and body to be preserved.
🔹 Luke 4:18-19: Jesus's mission was holistic—preaching to the poor, healing the brokenhearted, freeing captives, and restoring sight.
🔹 Exodus 3:7-8: God sees affliction, hears cries, and knows sorrows, promising deliverance and a better life.
3. The Key Concept: SHALOM
Shalom is the Hebrew word that fully captures God's holistic plan. It is much more than "peace."
*Meanings of Shalom:
🔹 Wholeness (nothing missing, nothing broken)
🔹 Well-being (emotional, physical, spiritual, social)
🔹 Harmony (right relationship with God, others, creation, and self)
🔹 Prosperity, flourishing, and success
🔹 Completeness, integrity, safety, welfare, favor, restoration, and happiness
*Jeremiah 29:11: God's thoughts toward us are thoughts of *shalom*—plans for welfare, hope, and a good future.
4. God's "Shalom Plan" for You (The Holistic Blessings):
The sermon outlines five aspects of God's all-encompassing will for believers:
1. All-Round Success: Success in every compartment of life (marriage, parenting, ministry, finances, etc.) as promised in Joshua 1:8 and *Psalm 1:3*.
2. All-Round Prosperity & Health:* That everything goes well for you and you enjoy good health, as in *3 John 1:2*.
3. All-Round Blessing: Being blessed in *all things*, like Abraham (*Genesis 24:1*).
4. All-Round Wholeness: Being complete, healed from emotional wounds (inferiority, unforgiveness, brokenness), and secure in your identity in Christ (*1 Thessalonians 5:23*).
5. All-Round Rest: Experiencing divine rest and victory on every side of your life—in your home, relationships, and mind—after enemies/submitted (*Joshua 21:44, 1 Kings 5:3-4*). This rest is found in Christ (*Matthew 11:28-29*).
Final Prayer & Declaration:
🔹 The speaker prays for the congregation to enter into this shalom*—where *all things in their lives work together for good.
🔹 He declares that every aspect of their lives will work according to God's holistic plan.
