Η ανάβαση πραγματοποιήθηκε την τελευταία εβδομάδα του Οκτώβρη 2020. Ο Χελμός ή αλλιώς Αροάνια Όρη είναι η τρίτη σε ύψος οροσειρά της Πελοποννήσου. Από το 2009 ο Χελμός αποτελεί προστατευμένη περιοχή χαρακτηρισμένη ως "Εθνικό Πάρκο". Από το όρος αυτό σύμφωνα με την μυθολογία πήγαζε η Στύγα ένα από τα τρία ποτάμια που κυλούσαν στα λιβάδια του Άδη. Στη Στύγα έλουσε η Θέτιδα το γιο της Αχιλλέα για να παραμείνει αθάνατος αφήνοντας τον με ένα μόνο τρωτό σημείο, την φτέρνα από όπου τον κράταγε. Η πιο ομαλή πρόσβαση είναι από τα Βορειοδυτικά ενώ η πιο δύσκολη και αρκετά απαιτητική είναι από τα Νοτιοανατολικά και από την περιοχή που είναι γνωστή ως "Χτένια του Χελμού". Στην Ψηλή Κορφή μας μπήκε μια ιδέα στο μυαλό.. Να παίρνουμε κάτι από το μέρος που πάμε και να το μεταφέρουμε στον επόμενο προορισμό μας, με σκοπό να συνδέσουμε τα μέρη μεταξύ τους.-

The ascent took place in the last week of October 2020. Helmos or Aroania Mountains is the third highest mountain range in the Peloponnese. Since 2009 Helmos is a protected area designated as a "National Park". According to mythology, Styga, one of the three rivers that flowed in the meadows of Hades, flowed from this mountain. In Styga, Thetis bathed her son Achilles to remain immortal, leaving him with only one vulnerable point, the heel from which she held him. The smoothest access is from the Northwest while the most difficult and quite demanding is from the Southeast and area known as "Helmos Scallops". In Psili Korfi an idea came to our mind..To take something from the place we are going and take it to our next destination, in order to connect the places with each other.-
