This mausoleum was built in 1573 for Shehzade Mustafa, son of Suleiman the Magnificient, by his brother Selim II. The funeral of Mustafa who died in 1553 in Eregli (Konya Country) was brought to Bursa where he first buried in another place. After about twenty years in that place, he then wasburied in this mausoleum, which was built for him.
It is known that three of the four sarcophagi inside this mausoleum aret hose of Shehzade Mustafa, of Mahidevran Hatun, the mother of Shehzade Mustafa, and of Osman, the son of Shehzade Bayezid.
