How to Loom Knit a Bucket Hat (DIY Tutorial)

This step-by-step tutorial shows you how to knit a Bucket Hat using a 41-peg round loom. This hat is made of an opened brim, that is worked first, in flat panel. Next, the body is loom knitted directly attached to it, working in the round.

LOOM: The loom I use in this project is a 41-peg XL gauge round loom, because I wanted to make an adult-size hat.

YARN: The yarn I use here is a bulky weight yarn (size #6). If your thread is thinner than mine (a medium weight yarn), I recommend you to use 2 strands at the same time. For this project, I used 100g (3.5Oz) approx. of a yarn called Katia Canada.
