Hi fronds! You have watched me propagate my philodendron micans but the mother plant hasn't been doing so well since the summer. All the new growth after the haircut was deformed. The leaves just look off with extra wrinkles, the color was pale and leaf edges were curled. It just didn't look as beautiful as it once did when I first brought it back from the nursery. After some detective work, I was able to narrow it down to one thing: it was lacking nutrients. I went ahead and repotted it and added a generous amount of organic fertilizers. Its been a few months since then and I'm seeing some positive changes so wanted to share a status update. Its happening to me so it might be happening to you! This is definitely a heavy feeder!
