Luciano & Cadenza are really happy to present VGBDOS, Ibiza - Summer’19, the compilation mixed in order to celebrate the return of the Vagabundos on the Isla Blanca, where it all started. The 25 tracks artfully and passionately mixed by Lucien Nicolet, the charismatic leader of these joyful hobos, give testimony of the cutting edge sound of Cadenza’s curated parties: contemporary fresh club music with a tasty wink to an old-school truly vibe. The future, the present and the past of electronic music intertwined with refinement. From the fragmented esoteric charm of Luciano’s own remix of Ezekiel’s “The Woman From The Balkan”, to the silky beats of Silicone Soul’s remix of Soul Clamp’s “Walk with Me”, the bass frequencies become thicker into Murr heavy function edit of “Wurl”. This minimalist trot slides into Luciano’s superb remix of Model 500 classic “No Ufo’s”, slowly resurfacing dub chords and atmospheres into Matt Star “DubEffekt”, that leads us into the velvety percussions and the sexy voice of Lynn Lockamy in Dj Mbuso deep mix of “At the Club”, and at a later time into the capturing bass line and the evocative chants of Euphoria in “Glare” by Soultronixx. “Revenge of the Synth” by DJ Skull brings us back into North-American dub influenced Techno a steady place just before the dance-floor hit “My Selector” by Shimza and the deep house anthem “Message of Peace” by the mighty Kevin Lost. The mix gets inflamed when the Caleb

Calloway remix of “Miami Connection” is dropped with an extraordinary nonchalance, followed by Lawnchair Generals Dub version of Swirl People’s “We Used To Party” and by the bubbly hi-tech funk of Dj Skull’s “Duly Noted”. “Get ‘Em Up” by Shaf House, Franco Cinelli’s remix of “Why Not”, and “Mustang” by Jacek Sienkewicz are solid club tracks that keep the bash going into the climax of Luciano’s brand new remix of the Andean flavoured gem “Llovizna”. The journey gets tripper with the hypnotic “Honey on my Lips” by Behrouz Squire and the mellifluous synthesisers of Soundquest’s “Walking With”, and finally we reach a mystical high ground with Luciano’s heavenly “Canción Mapuche”. Shimza’s “Eminence” ignites with tension the final part of the mix, just before the electrical race of Pascual’s “Existence” and the spellbinding “Essay” by Etapp Kyle. Finally, the sweet “Triangle Echoes” of Dj Seinfeld with its uplifting bass and its nineties reminiscences crowns with splendour this idyllic travel into the sound of the VGBDOS season.
