🚀 Building a Real-Time AR → VR Sky Explorer 🌌

Excited to share an update on my ongoing project — a real-time sky exploration platform that digitally recreates the night sky with scientific accuracy, even in light-polluted areas.

🔭 Current capability (Web / AR-style rendering):

The system renders major celestial objects together in a unified sky view, including:

⭐ Stars & constellations

🌌 Milky Way band

☁️ Nebulae

🌌 Galaxies

✨ Star clusters

🪐 Planets & the Moon

All objects are positioned based on the user’s real-world location, time, and sky orientation, creating an AR-like sky visualization experience directly in the browser.

🧠 What makes it interesting?

Uses real astronomical calculations (not static graphics)

Dynamic sky generation instead of pre-rendered images

Designed as a software foundation for immersive VR integration

VR goggles (Cardboard-style) integration

Stereoscopic sky rendering

Head-movement-based navigation

Immersive stargazing using just a smartphone

This is still an early-stage prototype, but it already demonstrates how astronomy, computer science, and immersive technologies can come together to make the universe more accessible 🌠
